Our history

Established in 2017

I Taqwa Care was established in 2017 with a clear purpose: to make pilgrimage healthcare safer, more coordinated and more compassionate for Muslims living with medical needs. Many patients and families can arrange flights and accommodation, but medical planning across countries can be difficult, particularly when dialysis, chronic illness, frailty or complex care is involved.

I Taqwa Care was created to bridge that gap through healthcare coordination, faith-sensitive support and a patient-centered approach.

How coordination works

We coordinate; licensed providers treat

I Taqwa Care plans and coordinates the healthcare side of the pilgrimage. Medical assessment, treatment and clearance are provided by qualified clinicians and licensed healthcare providers.

  1. Enquiry

Tell us about the pilgrim, travel plans and medical needs.

  2. Medical assessment

We review the available health information and identify what additional clinical documentation or clearance may be required.

  3. Personalised care plan

We define the required support, destination-care arrangements, medication considerations and escalation plan.

  4. Destination coordination

Where applicable, we coordinate with suitable hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and other licensed providers.

  5. Journey support

The agreed support is provided or coordinated throughout the pilgrimage, including nurse or escort services where booked.

  6. Post-travel continuity

Relevant information can be handed back to the patient's usual healthcare team to support continuity after travel.
